內地報章報道，深圳出售的珍珠奶茶既沒有茶，亦無奶，多喝無益。

深圳《晶報》報道，市場上大部分珍珠奶茶其實「無奶也無茶」，而是加有大量對人體有害的奶精，還有部分甚至在奶茶中添加了大量色素、香精、糖精、木薯粉、自來水，專家指出，經常飲用這種飲品易患心血管疾病，並建議市民減少飲用。
